Facing high seas, 15 m/s downwind sailing passing the sunset, trimming the spinnaker during the entire 3-hour shift while getting closer to the Hoburgen, the southernmost part of Gotland. The entire crew is wet, hungry, and tired and got a 2-hour sleep before sailing upwind against Visby and to the Almagrundet lighthouse at the entry of Stockholm’s archipelago. As many times before, we face the light winds around the lighthouse, still fighting. After some hours in the early morning and after 50 hours of racing we cross the finish line. Sigh, third place again! Maybe next year?
