My Story

Staring at a 4-meter-tall wave coming towards her in the warm waters of El Salvador during the World Surfing Games, the Swedish National Team flag on her board and the competition clock ticking down. This is one of Deva’s most powerful memories. At that moment, she realized that all the hard work taken her there had been worthwhile.

In recent years, Deva has learned Swedish after moving to Sweden by herself, studied an engineering program in her fourth language, became a Swedish Citizen, and got called to the Swedish National Team. She even competes in the World Championships representing her new country after becoming the Swedish Champion of surfing. She believes that embracing new challenges, getting outside of your comfort zone, and staying positive is what help you grow. This is the mindset she also brings to her professional carrier where she is passionate about making a difference by taking on sustainability challenges, her eyes are already set on leading Industrial Design and engineering projects that change the world into a better place.
