My Story

The impact was inevitable; this is happening. – The smell of damp pine trees made the air seem fresh and clean. Kissed by yet another frozen waterdrop, Alice gained consciousness. The snowboard was still attached, yet the knees no longer pointed in the same direction. At this moment, she noticed a piercing cry cutting through the surroundings; this was her scream. Silence soon befell the valley as she realized that screaming wouldn’t help. Alice recognized the need to find a way out of the deep snow and back to the slope – mind over matter.

With her friends’ arrival and support, Alice reached the on-piste where the ambulance scooter was waiting. This event reminded Alice of the importance of having reliable friends, teammates, and a resilient mentality. She offers this to her work environment today, and she knows the importance of teamwork and a determined mind; where there’s a will, there’s a way. Today, she rides the slopes with even more determination.
